The Zapatero cocktail is a relatively recent addition to the world of mixology, having been invented by Jeremy Lake in the early 21st century. Jeremy Lake, a renowned mixologist from California, has gained recognition for his inventive approach to cocktail creation.

The Zapatero cocktail is celebrated for its eclectic blend of ingredients, which creates a remarkable sensory experience. At the heart of this cocktail are Mezcal and Bourbon, each contributing a distinct character to this cocktail.

Mezcal, this cocktail’s base spirit, known for its smoky and complex profile, adds depth and character to the cocktail.

The Bourbon adds a touch of American charm to this cocktail. With its sweet, rich notes, bourbon creates a beautiful synergy with the earthy mezcal, making the drink a testament to cross-cultural connections.

The orgeat, a sweet almond syrup, imparts a luscious and nutty character to the cocktail. This ingredient ties together the flavors of mezcal and bourbon, turning them into a smooth duet that pleasantly goes down the throat.

A dash of Angostura bitters introduces a hint of spice and complexity to the mix. It enhances the overall depth of flavors, making the cocktail a multidimensional experience.

The addition of a dash of chocolate bitters provides a subtle yet delightful undertone of cocoa. This element brings a layer of richness to the cocktail, adding a sense of indulgence to the overall experience.
