The Fog Cutter is a classic Tiki cocktail. The invention of this cocktail is often attributed to a man named Victor Bergeron ( The owner of Trader Vic’s Restaurant). Don’t let the fruity and nutty flavors trick you, it is a very stiff cocktail that can give you a powerful knockout.

Fog Cutter Recipe

  1. 45 ml white rum

  2. 30 ml brandy

  3. 30 ml gin

  4. 30 ml orgeat

  5. 30 ml fresh lemon juice

  6. 60 ml fresh orange juice

  7. Ice

  8. 30 ml sherry

  9. Garnish: 1 mint sprig

How to Make a Fog Cutter Cocktail

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add all ingredients except the sherry, and shake well. (At least for 15 seconds)

  2. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice and float the sherry on top of the drink.

  3. Garnish with one mint sprig.
