The Aviation Cocktail is a classic cocktail that has been around since the early 20th century. This drink is made with gin, maraschino liqueur, crème de violette, and lemon juice. It was first published in 1916, in a cocktail book named “Recipes for Mixed Drinks“, which was written by Hugo R Ensslin, a bartender who worked at the Hotel Wallick in New York. We think that the combination of gin, maraschino liqueur, and crème de violette gives this drink a distinct flavor that makes it stand out from other cocktails. Enjoy!
