Dos Lunas Tequila

Dos Lunas is made from 100% Weber Blue Agave with a marketing headquarters in El Paso, Texas. Dos Lunas is available in Silver (estimated $40), Reposado (estimated $50), Añejo (estimated $60) and an Extra-Añejo known as Grand Reserve (estimated retail $2500). The tequilas are produced by Tequilas del Senor in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, under direction from Dos Lunas and are all-natural ingredients.

History

Dos Lunas Product Line Launched in 2006, Dos Lunas Tequila offers a line of four premium tequilas, including: Silver (direct from distillation), Reposado (aged nine months), Añejo (aged 18 months), and Grand Reserve (aged ten years in a single barrel). Their tequilas range from the ageless Silver, which carries a crisp, clean taste; then finishes down the line with 10-year-aged Grand Reserve, housed in a Baccarat crystal decanter with a smooth oak flavor and offered at $2500 per bottle. All four tequilas are 100 percent chemical and enzyme free and use an all-natural yeast fermentation process. The unadulterated process is what makes the Dos Lunas Tequila experience so exquisite and unique. Missouri is the 19th state to distribute this premium tequila in the U.S.

Awards

Dos Lunas was awarded 94 points at the 2006 International Review of Spirits in Chicago. The tasting notes from that competition praise the tequila as exhibiting “very sweet toasted coconut, caramel, and cocoa aromas. A soft supple entry leads to very smooth off-dry medium to full bodied palate with coconut cream, dried tropical fruit, white pepper, and dusty minerals. Sensational agave fruit and wood character.”
